Notice Regarding the Revision to the Last Resort Supply Tariff Threshold

Pursuant to Board Decision No. 13912 dated 30 October 2025 issued by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA), the limits applicable to the Last Resort Supply Tariff have been updated. Under this regulation, we would like to inform you that, as of 1 January 2026, residential customers whose annual electricity consumption under their contract is 4,000 kWh or more, as well as commercial and industrial customers whose annual electricity consumption is 15,000 kWh or more, will be billed under the Last Resort Supply Tariff applicable to high-consumption consumers as of 1 February 2025.

The relevant regulation has been implemented on a calendar-year basis. Customers’ electricity consumption will be aggregated on a calendar-year basis. Where a customer is determined to fall within the scope of the Last Resort Supply Tariff applicable to high-consumption consumers and does not procure electricity under a bilateral agreement, billing under the Last Resort Supply Tariff will commence on the first day of the third month following such determination. This arrangement will take effect as of 1 February 2025. Where a customer has more than one consumption point, only the installation(s) exceeding the applicable limit will be billed under the Last Resort Supply Tariff, while the installation(s) that do not exceed the limit will continue to be billed under the National Tariff without any change.

The final determination as to whether the Last Resort Supply Tariff limits have been exceeded is made by the relevant Distribution Companies. Customers may contact the relevant Distribution Company through its communication channels to determine whether their contract is affected by the change in the applicable limit. Customers who are determined by the relevant Distribution Company to have exceeded the Last Resort Supply Tariff limit will be billed under the Last Resort Supply Tariff applicable to high-consumption consumers. To enter into a new agreement that is better suited to your consumption preferences and may offer potential price advantages, you may contact the suppliers listed on EMRA’s official website.
